McFarlane Toys brought iconic anime characters to Western collectors through its 3D Animation from Japan line, and this Series 2 release features Kaneda Shoutarou from the landmark film Akira. Set in a dystopian neo-Tokyo plagued by gang violence and government conspiracies, Akira follows Kaneda as the leader of a biker gang whose friend Tetsuo develops devastating psychic abilities, threatening to unravel the entire city. The figure stands approximately 152mm tall and is made of PVC. It was sculpted by Todd McFarlane himself, bringing his signature style to one of anime's most recognizable protagonists. The figure was priced at 4,980 JPY and captures Kaneda in his iconic appearance from the film.
