Good Smile Company, in collaboration with Ascii Media Works, presents Tachibana Kanade from Angel Beats! as a 1/8 scale figure. Originally released as a Dengekiya exclusive figure in 2013, this re-release from December 2015 commemorates the Angel Beats! Blu-ray BOX and the PC game Angel Beats! -1st beat-. Angel Beats! is set in a high school that serves as a liminal afterlife for students who died with lingering regrets. Tachibana Kanade, often called Tenshi or Angel by other students, is the student council president who initially appears as an antagonist to the Afterlife Battle Front. Despite her stoic demeanor, she is kind and gentle, using her supernatural abilities to maintain order in the afterlife school. The figure is based on a stunning illustration by Katsuzo Hirata, the character designer and animation director for the anime, depicting Tenshi with her lovely wings and soft skin. Sculpted by Usagi, the figure stands approximately 200mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. Priced at 9,000 JPY, it faithfully captures Kanade's ethereal beauty.
