Medicom Toy presents the Doruge Sentou-in Antman as part of its Toei Retro Sofubi Collection in a Middle Size Version. This prepainted sofubi figure captures one of the iconic combatants from the classic tokusatsu series Choujin Barom-1, a show produced by Toei that featured heroes and monsters battling in a distinctive 1970s style. Choujin Barom-1 follows the story of two boys who transform into the superhuman Barom-1 to fight against the evil organization led by Daimajin Doruge and his army of monstrous sentou-in (combatants). Antman is one of these Doruge sentou-in, a line of villainous creatures that appeared throughout the series. The Toei Retro Sofubi Collection celebrates this heritage by recreating these classic characters in soft vinyl format. This figure stands approximately 150mm tall and was released in February 2018 as a standard edition. The Toei Retro Sofubi Collection line includes multiple characters from the series, such as Kuchibiruge, Okozeruge, Miiraruge, and others, allowing collectors to build out their display of classic tokusatsu villains and heroes.
