She believes herself to be a sorceress and wears an eye-patch not due to any injury, but to seal her "Wicked Eye" that supposedly reveals destinies. The series follows Rikka and her classmates as they navigate adolescence while dealing with their chuunibyou tendencies. Rikka's fantasies serve as a coping mechanism for personal trauma, and her relationship with protagonist Yuuta Togashi forms the emotional core of the story as they help each other confront reality while cherishing the bonds they form.
