Max Factory's Wonderful Hobby Selection line presents Cthulhu from the Cthulhu Mythos in the Cthulhu Evolution series. This impressive polystone statue brings H.P. Lovecraft's legendary cosmic entity to life with a sculpt based on the original design by renowned figure designer Takayuki Takeya. Cthulhu is one of the most iconic creations of horror author H.P. Lovecraft, first introduced in his 1928 short story The Call of Cthulhu. Described as a gigantic, ancient entity sleeping in the sunken city of R'lyeh in the Pacific Ocean, Cthulhu is part of a pantheon of cosmic beings known as the Great Old Ones. The story depicts Cthulhu as a monstrous figure with an octopus-like head, a rubbery scaly body, prodigious wings, and long narrow claws. Cultists across the world worship Cthulhu, awaiting the day when the stars align and R'lyeh rises from the ocean, unleashing the entity upon the world. The figure stands approximately 350mm tall and is crafted from polystone with magnet elements.
