This figure is based on an illustration created for the fifth season of the Date A Live anime, which began airing in April 2024. Date A Live follows Shido Itsuka, a boy who must seal the powers of Spirits — otherworldly beings whose spacequakes threaten humanity — by making them fall in love with him. Takamiya Mio is one of the most significant and complex characters in the series, revealed to be the First Spirit and the origin of all other Spirits' powers.
