Max Factory's figma No.516 features Sam Porter Bridges from the video game Death Stranding, also designated as BB-28. Standing approximately 160mm tall and made of ABS and PVC, the figure was sculpted by Poly-Toys, Marunouchi Asuka, and Asai (APSY) Masaki. It originally retailed for 9,000 JPY. Death Stranding is an action game directed by Hideo Kojima, set in a post-apocalyptic United States devastated by a supernatural event called the Death Stranding. Sam Porter Bridges is a legendary courier tasked with reconnecting isolated settlements across the continent while carrying cargo through treacherous terrain haunted by invisible creatures called BTs. Throughout his journey, Sam carries a BB — a Bridge Baby — in a pod on his chest, which allows him to sense these otherworldly threats. The BB, designated BB-28, is an infant who forms a deep emotional bond with Sam over the course of the story, becoming central to both the gameplay mechanics and the narrative's emotional core. The figma captures Sam in his signature courier suit and includes accessories befitting his role as a porter, utilizing the figma line's smooth yet poseable joints for dynamic display options.
