As the world grows bleaker with the demon threat, Miki becomes the ray of hope that motivates Akira in his battle against demons. In contrast to Akira's initial meek personality, Miki is brash, short-tempered, and known for her powerful openhanded slap, earning her the nickname Miki The Hands. Under her tough exterior, she cares deeply for her family and friends, especially Akira, and becomes more attracted to him after his transformation into Devilman.
