Alter presents Souryuu Asuka Langley from Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Ha (Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0) in a 1/8 scale figure depicting her in the Plug Suit Test Type Ver. Standing approximately 235mm tall, this PVC figure was sculpted by Yagyuu Toshiyuki and released in November 2010. In the Rebuild of Evangelion film series, Asuka serves as the pilot of Evangelion Unit-02, bringing her trademark fiery competitiveness and pride to the fight against the Angels. The Rebuild films re-imagine the original Neon Genesis Evangelion storyline with updated animation and revised character arcs, with Asuka's surname changed from Souryuu to Shikinami in the new continuity. Her role in the battle against the Angel Tenth and her interactions with Shinji Ikari and Rei Ayanami form key emotional beats of the second film. Alter is renowned for its meticulous sculpting and paint application, and this figure showcases Asuka in her test-type plug suit with the quality and attention to detail that collectors have come to expect from the manufacturer.
