About this figure
X-Plus presents Baragon from the 1965 Toho kaiju film Frankenstein tai Chitei Kaijuu Baragon as part of their Toho Daikaiju Series. This Fierce Fighting Color Version stands approximately 230mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC materials. Baragon is a subterranean monster who ravages the countryside in Ishirō Honda's film, which tells the story of scientists investigating a mysterious boy grown from Frankenstein's monster's heart. The heart was transported to Hiroshima during World War II, and the nuclear explosion caused the boy to grow to monstrous size. Baragon emerges as a separate threat, with special effects by the legendary Eiji Tsuburaya. The film was an international co-production between Toho and American producer Henry G. Saperstein, released in the United States as Frankenstein Conquers the World. The Fierce Fighting Color Version captures Baragon in an aggressive combat pose, emphasizing the creature's reptilian features and ferocious nature. X-Plus is renowned for their detailed kaiju sculpts, and this figure continues their tradition of faithfully recreating classic Toho monsters.
