Futari wa Precure is the inaugural series of the Pretty Cure franchise, following two middle school girls who transform into the legendary warriors Cure Black and Cure White. Together they battle the forces of the Dotsuku Zone while balancing their everyday school lives. The pair's signature attack, Marble Screw, requires both warriors to combine their powers, symbolizing the partnership at the heart of the series. Completed prototypes of Cure Black and Cure White were displayed at Tamashii Nation 2010 before their simultaneous release on November 27, 2010.
