Max Factory's Figma line brings Shoutoku Taishi from Gag Manga Biyori to life as figure SP-011, sculpted by Asai (APSY) Masaki. This special release captures the absurdist comedy character in Max Factory's signature poseable Figma format. Gag Manga Biyori is a comedy anime and manga series known for its rapid-fire, nonsensical humor and parodies of historical and pop culture figures. Shoutoku Taishi, based on the historical Prince Shotoku of ancient Japan, is reimagined through the series' distinctive comedic lens, appearing in surreal and exaggerated scenarios that subvert expectations about the revered historical figure. Standing approximately 135mm tall, the figure is constructed from ABS, POM, PP, and PVC materials. It was released on July 23, 2010, at a price of 5,696 JPY. The Figma articulation system allows for a variety of expressive poses suited to the character's comedic nature.
