About this figure
This figure of Ittan Momen is produced by Uchoten as part of the Gegege no Kitaro franchise. Standing approximately 320mm tall, the figure depicts one of the more unusual characters from this long-running supernatural series. Ittan Momen, whose name literally translates to "roll of cotton," is a flying yōkai made entirely of cotton and a loyal member of the Kitarō Family. Resembling a long strip of white cloth with arms and thin, pupil-less eyes, Ittan Momen serves as both a companion and a mode of transportation, as Kitarō and his friends frequently ride on him when traveling. The character first appeared in the manga chapter "The Great Yōkai War" in 1966 and made his anime debut in Series 1 Episode 10 in 1968. Despite lacking a visible mouth, Ittan Momen can eat and drink, and he has a noted fondness for pretty women and beautiful kimonos. His weaknesses include scissors, fire, and water, and he has a strong dislike for being worn as a loincloth or put through washers and dryers. The figure by Uchoten captures the character's distinctive cloth-like appearance at 320mm in height, reflecting his elongated form as depicted throughout the various Gegege no Kitaro anime adaptations.
