Takao is one of the Fog's Mental Models, humanoid avatars that the warships create to interact and process information. In the Cadenza film, Takao plays a significant role as she develops complex emotions and allegiances, eventually siding with the human crew of the I-401 submarine against her former Fleet of Fog comrades.
