This prequel film explores the origins of the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, focusing on Yuta's journey from a tormented student to a powerful jujutsu sorcerer. Yuta Okkotsu is a special grade sorcerer haunted by the cursed spirit of his childhood friend Rika Orimoto, whose tragic death bound her to him as an immensely powerful curse. The film follows Yuta as he enrolls in Tokyo Jujutsu High, learning to control Rika's overwhelming power under the guidance of Satoru Gojo. His story is one of grief, guilt, and ultimately acceptance, as he confronts the nature of his bond with Rika and discovers his own latent abilities as a descendant of the legendary Michizane Sugawara.
