FrogTree, in collaboration with CORE, produced this sofubi figure of Bondrewd from Gekijouban Made in Abyss: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei in a colored version. Standing approximately 240mm tall, this doujin figure was released at Wonder Festival 2024 in February. Bondrewd, known as The Lord of Dawn, is one of the most complex and terrifying antagonists in the Made in Abyss franchise. A legendary White Whistle delver, Bondrewd oversees the Idofront outpost at the fifth layer of the Abyss. His pursuit of understanding the Abyss's curse leads him to conduct horrific experiments on children, including Nanachi and Mitty, in a quest to develop a method of surviving the curse of the sixth layer. Despite his atrocities, Bondrewd is characterized by a calm, paternal demeanor and genuine scientific curiosity, making him a villain whose unsettling charm and intellectual depth leave a lasting impression. This sofubi figure presents Bondrewd in his distinctive armored outfit, with the colored version offering a fully painted interpretation. As a Wonder Festival exclusive, it represents the passion of the doujin figure community in celebrating even the darkest characters of beloved series.
