MegaHouse's G.E.M. series brings Hijikata Toushirou from Gintama in a Suit to Megane version at 1/8 scale. This figure depicts the Demon Vice Commander of the Shinsengumi in an unusual formal look, wearing a suit and glasses that give him a distinctly different appearance from his standard Shinsengumi uniform. In Gintama, Hijikata Toushirou serves as the feared second-in-command of the Shinsengumi, a police force operating in an Edo-era Japan invaded by aliens. Known for his chain-smoking habit and an obsessive love for mayonnaise — to the point of creating the notorious "Hijikata Special" drenched in the condiment — he balances a ruthless reputation with comedic quirks that make him one of the series' most beloved characters. Sculpted by Mokamaru of M.I.C. with paintwork by Tc, the same team behind the companion Gintoki figure, this release stands approximately 200mm tall. The glasses and cigarette are removable, allowing for multiple display configurations. Made from ABS and PVC, the figure was originally released in June 2010.
