MegaHouse presents Hijikata Toushirou from Gintama as part of their G.E.M. series in this 1/8 scale Ver.Kai edition. Sculpted by Arai Kyousuke, this figure captures the fierce vice-commander of the Shinsengumi with remarkable detail and presence. Gintama follows the misadventures of Gintoki Sakata and his odd-jobs business in an alternate Edo-period Japan under alien Amanto rule. Hijikata Toushirou serves as the strict and disciplined vice-commander of the Shinsengumi police force, known for his chain-smoking habit and an almost obsessive love of mayonnaise. Despite his demonic reputation as a lawman, he is fiercely loyal to his comrades. This Ver.Kai release includes accessories befitting the character: a bottle of mayonnaise, two cigars, and a katana that can be displayed sheathed or drawn. Measuring approximately 220mm tall and made from ABS and PVC, this figure was released in September 2016 with the product code 4535123821073. It was originally priced at 9,000 JPY and remains a highly regarded piece among Gintama figure collectors.
