About this figure
Bandai's Figuarts ZERO line presents Sakata Gintoki, the beloved protagonist of the comedy-action series Gintama. This figure captures the lazy yet legendary samurai in a characteristic pose, standing approximately 150mm tall and crafted from ABS and PVC materials. Gintama is set in an alternate Edo period where Earth has been conquered by the Amanto, an alien race that has ushered in a era of rapid modernization with futuristic technology. The samurai class has been largely rendered obsolete, and Gintoki operates the Yorozuya, an odd-jobs business, alongside his young companions Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura. Despite his perpetually broke and unmotivated exterior, Gintoki is a veteran of the Joui War where he earned the fearsome nickname "Shiroyasha" (White Demon) for his extraordinary swordsmanship. He wields a wooden bokuto that somehow manages to cut through almost anything, a running gag throughout the series. The Figuarts ZERO line features fixed-pose figures focused on dynamic sculpting and paint detail. This figure was originally priced at 5,000 JPY with product code 4549660018407.
