This Ichiban Kuji figure of Mecha King Ghidorah is the B Prize from the Ichiban Kuji "Gojira vs. King Ghidorah" lottery, produced by Bandai Spirits under their Magnuvics line. Standing approximately 270mm tall, the figure is made from PVC and soft vinyl and was sculpted by Watanabe Yuuki, Sakai Yuuji, and Yatake Yoshinori. Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah is a 1991 kaiju film written and directed by Kazuki Omori. The plot centers on time-travelers from the 23rd century who convince Japan to send a team back to 1944 to prevent Godzilla's mutation, only to reveal their true motive of unleashing King Ghidorah upon the nation. Mecha-King Ghidorah is the cyborg form of King Ghidorah, rebuilt with mechanical components by the people of the future and sent back to battle Godzilla in defense of Japan. The entire Ichiban Kuji set was supervised and produced by renowned monster sculptor Yuji Sakai, who oversaw scene selection, pose sculpting, and photography. The lottery was held online from May 16 to June 29, 2025, with each draw priced at 2,400 JPY.
