Within the world of Akibaranger, Aoi Ichikawa is the star of Nijiyome Academy Z-Cune Aoi, a fictional anime series that became wildly popular among the main characters. She fights crime to protect her best friend Satomi Funabashi, and her design directly inspired the MMZ-01 Moe Moe Z-Cune transformation device used by the Akibarangers. By Season Tsuu, her series had released several films, with Aoi receiving a new design. She is voiced by Maaya Uchida, who also voices the character Hiroyo Hakase in the real-world show. Measuring approximately 240mm tall, the item is constructed from ABS, die cast, and PVC materials.
