Animegami Studios presents Kawakami Tomie from the Junji Ito Collection as a 1/6 scale resin statue in the Premium Line, Regular Edition. This figure stands approximately 335mm tall with a width of 115mm and depth of 210mm, crafted from resin, ABS, and PVC. Tomie is the titular character from Junji Ito's seminal horror manga, a beautiful and immortal woman whose presence drives those around her to madness and murder. In the specific episode referenced by this figure, the artist Mitsuo Mori becomes obsessed with painting Tomie. While sitting for her portrait, Tomie tells Mori that every man who has ever loved her tried to kill her. Mori paints her with a hideous demonic face merged with her own, and when Tomie sneers at the painting, Mori flies into a homicidal rage and chops her into pieces. The figure's base depicts these severed body parts, from which Tomie is reborn, with her pose referencing a photo taken earlier in the episode. The figure includes a head variant showcasing Tomie's hideous demonic face. The sculpting was handled by Sergio Mengual and Leo Dolon Bustamonte, with painting by Armando Aguiar and creative direction by Ricardo Clatworthy.
