Kaitei Gunkan - Gotengo - Manda - Real Master Collection (Plex, X-Plus)

From the X-Plus Real Master Collection comes the Gotengo vs. Manda diorama, produced by Plex. This large-scale statue depicts the iconic confrontation from the 1963 Toho film Kaitei Gunkan (Atragon), one of the studio's most ambitious science fiction productions of the era. Kaitei Gunkan tells the story of the Gotengo, a revolutionary flying submarine battleship, and its battle against the undersea Mu Empire. Manda, a serpentine sea dragon deity worshipped by the Mu civilization, serves as one of the film's most memorable antagonists. The Gotengo would go on to appear in later Toho kaiju films, including Godzilla: Final Wars, cementing its legacy in the franchise. The clash between the advanced vessel and the ancient dragon remains a landmark sequence in kaiju cinema. This Real Master Collection piece stands approximately 520mm tall and is constructed from polystone, polyurethane, and PVC. It was released in June 2019 with a retail price of 49,680 yen.
