Good Smile Company brings the iconic tokusatsu hero to the Nendoroid lineup with this Shin Kamen Rider figure, numbered 2211 in the long-running collectible series. Based on the 2023 film Shin Kamen Rider, a modern reimagining of the original 1971 Kamen Rider series directed by Hideaki Anno, this figure captures the redesigned Cyclone-riding hero in chibi form. Shin Kamen Rider reimagines the origin story of Takeshi Hongo, a young man kidnapped and transformed into a grasshopper-augmented cyborg by the sinister organization SHOCKER. Escaping before his brainwashing could be completed, Hongo uses his enhanced abilities to fight against SHOCKER's modified humans and protect humanity. The film updates the classic hero's design with a sleek, organic suit while preserving the unmistakable insectoid motif that made Kamen Rider a cultural icon. Sculpted by Shichibee and Nendoron, the figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is constructed from plastic with LED elements. It was released in December 2023 and retailed for 5,855 JPY.
