Good Smile Company presents Nendoroid 175, featuring Kaname Madoka with Kyuubey in her school uniform version from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. Sculpted by Akihito Takano with cooperation from Nendoron, this figure was first sold at Wonder Festival 2011 Summer before receiving wider release. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica deconstructs the magical girl genre by following Madoka Kaname, an ordinary middle schooler who encounters Kyuubey, a mysterious creature offering to grant any wish in exchange for becoming a magical girl. As Madoka and her friends fight witches, they discover the true cost of their contracts. Kyuubey's emotionless demeanor and hidden agenda make it one of anime's most unsettling characters, while Madoka's journey from hesitant schoolgirl to a figure of cosmic significance forms the emotional core of the series. The figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. As a Nendoroid, it is a non-scale posable figure featuring interchangeable face plates and parts, including a crying face expression. It was released in July 2011.
