Maniwa Shirasagi, known by his nickname "Reverse-talk Shirasagi," is a member of the Maniwa Ninja Corps in Katanagatari. His most notable trait is that he speaks everything backwards, making him an enigmatic and unusual character. He wears a white heron-like uniform, as his name suggests. While not much is known about him, the other Maniwa heads were reportedly in awe of his ability, known as Ninpou: Gekirin Sagashi. In the story's second volume, Shirasagi is killed by Ginkaku Uneri before he has the chance to take any meaningful action, making him one of the series' more tragic and mysterious figures.
