Shichika Yasuri is the seventh head of the Kyotoryu school of Japanese sword martial arts, a unique style that uses no blades but treats the user's own body as a weapon. Raised in isolation on a remote island, he is clueless about the outside world and its customs, often wandering half-clothed because he finds garments cumbersome for combat. When the strategist Togame recruits him to collect twelve legendary Deviant Blades, Shichika embarks on a journey that gradually transforms him from a weapon into a human being. He declares his love for Togame and follows her orders as her wielder, even as he struggles to express his emotions and navigate social situations.
