Art Storm's Future Models line presents Kusanagi Motoko alongside a Tachikoma from Koukaku Kidotai S.A.C., better known in English as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. This figure set captures the iconic pairing from one of anime's most influential cyberpunk franchises. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex follows Major Motoko Kusanagi, the cyborg leader of Public Security Section 9, a covert unit dealing with cybercrime and political intrigue in a near-future where cybernetic bodies and brain augmentation are commonplace. The Tachikomas are the section's spider-like thinking tanks, equipped with artificial intelligence that evolves throughout the series, developing childlike curiosity and personalities that endear them to both the team and viewers. Their relationship with the Major is a recurring thematic element. Standing approximately 180mm tall, this figure was sculpted by Shirow Masamune and Fujiwara Tatsuhiro. It was released in May 2004 as a limited exclusive item in Japan, making it a notable early collectible from the Stand Alone Complex era.
