This crossover mascot figure brings together Kumamon, the beloved mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture, with Rody, the iconic Japanese bouncy toy character. Produced by Wizard Inc., the figure reimagines Kumamon in Rody's distinctive form as part of the Kumamon x Rody collaboration. Kumamon was created in 2010 by the Kumamoto Prefectural Government as part of a campaign to attract tourists following the opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen line. The anthropomorphic black bear quickly became a national sensation, winning first place in a nationwide yuru-chara mascot survey in late 2011 with over 280,000 votes. Within just two years, Kumamon generated approximately US$1.2 billion in economic benefits for his region through tourism and product sales. Kumamoto Prefecture notably grants free usage rights for the character as long as products promote goods and services from the prefecture. The figure stands approximately 10mm tall and was released as a prepainted collectible by Wizard Inc. in January 2020 as a standard edition.
