Lupin III is the grandson of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief created by Maurice Leblanc, and he continues the family legacy of grand heists. A fun-loving master of disguise, Lupin embarks on daring thefts alongside his loyal companions: cool gunman Daisuke Jigen and stoic samurai swordsman Goemon Ishikawa XIII. He is perpetually pursued by the determined Interpol Inspector Koichi Zenigata and is infatuated with the cunning Fujiko Mine, who frequently double-crosses him. Lupin employs an array of gadgets from spy tech to grappling hooks. The Bandai Spirits figure draws inspiration from the iconic animated scene first shown in the 1969 pilot film, with shading that makes it appear as though Lupin is running from a spotlight. This figure was produced by Bandai Spirits. A special event release from September 2021 featured only four or five individually colored versions, each sold out quickly, making them exceptionally rare collector's items.
