Medaka Kurokami is the female protagonist of Medaka Box, serving as the 98th and later 99th Student Council president of Hakoniwa Academy. A childhood friend of Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, she is an extraordinary student who places first in national tests and excels in nearly every endeavor. Her overwhelming personality and belief that everyone has good in them drives the series' conflict as she takes on suggestions from the student suggestion box. Medaka is known for her very long purple hair, red eyes, and a notably assertive personality that converts even adversaries into followers.
