Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki is a critically acclaimed film directed by Mamoru Hosoda. The story follows Hana, a young woman who falls in love with and marries a wolfman, only to lose him after giving birth to two children, Yuki and Ame. Left to raise her half-wolf, half-human children alone, Hana moves to a rural town to protect them from society's judgment. As the children grow, they each face a pivotal choice between embracing their human side or their wolf nature. Yuki, the spirited older sister, initially embraces her wolf instincts before choosing to live as a human, while the quieter Ame ultimately follows the call of the wild. The film is a poignant exploration of parenthood, identity, and growing up. Sadamoto Yoshiyuki, renowned for his character design work, brings the warmth and emotional depth of the film into this sculptural representation.
