Sum-Art presents KOTODAMA, an original bust sculpture in 1/6 scale as part of their Artist Edition series. Created through a collaboration between sculptor Masato Ohata and Manas S+U+M, this resin figure stands approximately 170mm tall. KOTODAMA draws from the Japanese belief that mystical powers dwell within words and names — a concept meaning the soul or spirit of language. Masato Ohata's vision reflects the idea that words possess a life of their own, capable of flying outward to bring either redemption or deadly harm depending on the speaker. The artwork serves as a meditation on the weight of language, expressing a hope for fewer hurtful words and more warm, healing ones in the world. Ohata has described KOTODAMA as one of his favorite works, noting that its creation flowed almost seamlessly from conception to completion. The Artist Edition is limited to 88 pieces worldwide. The resin bust measures approximately 4.3 by 3.6 by 6.7 inches and is produced by Sum-Art as a limited edition collectible.
