Gill Gill Global presents an original figure of the Outekkouka Shita Ammonite, also known as the Pyritized Ammonite, available in a blue color variant. This unique collectible is an original character design rather than one tied to any existing anime or manga franchise, standing approximately 250mm tall when assembled. The figure is the work of sculptor Ishinaga Sakurako, known for work on Shokubutsu Shoujo-en. The concept centers around a pyritized ammonite, a real-world fossil phenomenon where ammonite shells are naturally replaced by the mineral pyrite over millions of years, giving them a metallic, golden appearance. This figure reimagines that geological wonder as a character figure. Released in March 2020, the figure is made from resin, specifically a non-foaming polyurethane. It was priced at 47,800 yen and required some assembly upon arrival. As a prepainted completed product, it offered collectors a distinctive fusion of paleontology and figure art.
