Pink Company presents Me-tan, the moe anthropomorphism of Windows Me, from the OS-tan franchise. This figure brings to life one of the earliest and most beloved OS-tan characters. OS-tans are moe anthropomorphic personifications of popular operating systems that originated on the Japanese imageboard Futaba Channel. The concept began with Windows Me, released by Microsoft in 2000, which was widely perceived as unstable and prone to frequent crashes. Users on Futaba Channel likened this instability to a fickle, troublesome girl, and Me-tan was born. She is typically depicted as a clumsy, eager-to-please girl who constantly trips and causes errors, reflecting the operating system's notorious reputation. Me-tan proved so popular that she spawned an entire universe of OS-tan characters, with Windows operating systems often depicted as sisters of varying ages. Microsoft eventually embraced the concept, using OS-tan personifications in advertising campaigns across Asian markets. Me-tan was designed by GUHICO of Stranger Workshop, with this figure sculpted by Guhico and Hirai Yukio. The figure was commercialized by Parthenon Production Limited through Pink Company's OS-tan product line.
