This solar-powered Pochama figure is part of Takara Tomy's Nohohon Zoku line, featuring the beloved Penguin Pokémon from the Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl series. The Hinatabokko Pochama edition brings the carefree charm of the Nohohon Zoku — whose name translates to "carefree family" — to the Pokémon universe. Pochama, known as Piplup in English, is the Water-type starter Pokémon offered to trainers by Professor Rowan in the Sinnoh region. Known for its proud and somewhat stubborn personality despite its small stature, Pochama became one of the most recognizable mascots of the Diamond & Pearl generation, largely thanks to its prominent role as Dawn's partner Pokémon in the anime adaptation. Like all Hidamari no Tami figures in the Nohohon Zoku line, this Pochama is powered by a small solar panel rather than batteries.
