Standing approximately 120mm tall, this collectible captures the titular character from the surreal and often controversial animated short series. Popee the Performer is a Canadian-Japanese series of 3DCG shorts produced for the Kids Station satellite channel. Created by the husband-wife team of Ryuji Masuda and Wakako Masuda, the show is set in a desert circus and follows Popee, a young performer, along with his wolf companion Kedamono. Each self-contained episode features slapstick comedy that frequently escalates into surprising violence, with characters often being impaled, electrocuted, or set on fire. Despite the dark content, the show was produced on a very limited budget of only 100,000 yen per episode and began as an experimental CG animation project. The bobblehead format is a fitting tribute to the quirky nature of the series, offering fans a tangible piece of this unique and memorable show.
