Despite being described by Tomoya as the most beautiful girl he has ever met, Megumi is deliberately portrayed as ordinary and unremarkable in personality, so much so that Tomoya failed to notice her despite being in the same class. Her plainness is central to the series' premise, as Tomoya vows to raise her into his ideal heroine. She serves as the model for Meguri, one of the main heroines in Blessing Software's game Cherry Blessing.
