Megumi is the classmate of protagonist Tomoya Aki, an otaku who aspires to create a dating sim game. Despite being in the same class, Tomoya never noticed her until a fateful encounter on a hillside, where her appearance inspired him to make her the model for his game's main heroine. Megumi is deliberately portrayed as an ordinary girl with no distinctive traits — so plain that Tomoya initially failed to recognize her — which forms the core premise of the series title, meaning "How to Raise a Boring Heroine." Standing approximately 500mm tall, this large-scale figure is made from soft vinyl and was sculpted by Chizuru and Kiyama Hisatake.
