Unbox Industries partnered with Sanrio to produce this Glitter Edition of Ahiru no Pekkle as part of their Sanrio Classics soft vinyl figure series. Standing approximately 127mm (5 inches) tall, the figure is made of soft vinyl with hand-painted details and comes in printed box packaging. Created by Sanrio in 1990, Pekkle (Ahiru no Pekkle) is a dancing duck known for his good-natured personality. Unbox Industries launched this collaboration with Sanrio to give popular characters a completely new image, with Pekkle being the first in an ongoing series of soft vinyl productions. The partnership was announced after prototypes were shown at ToySoul 2018, generating significant collector interest. The Glitter Edition variant was released on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at 8 AM PDT through the Unbox Industries online store. This version features a glitter finish applied to the hand-painted soft vinyl figure, offering a distinctive take on the classic Sanrio character.
