Bandai Spirits presents a figure of Asakura Hao from Shaman King, one of the most formidable and complex antagonists in the series. Born as Asaha Doji during Japan's Heian period, Hao rose to prominence as an onmyoji and founded the Asakura Family. He competed in the Shaman Fight of AD 1000 but failed, and when he threatened to destroy humanity and establish a shaman empire, his own family killed him. Through control of his own reincarnation, Hao was reborn twice more—once in the Patch Tribe to steal the Spirit of Fire, and finally as the twin brother of his descendant Asakura Yoh. Hao's personality was shaped by profound hardship. As a youth, he met a demon named Ohachiyo who taught him the positive aspects of life, but an accident fused Ohachiyo into Hao and cursed him with Reishi, the ability to read minds. Overwhelmed by the constant flood of others' negative emotions and unable to turn off this ability, Hao grew misanthropic. The unjust death of his mother further fueled his desire to become the Shaman King and create a world free of human corruption. He ultimately succeeds in winning the Shaman Fight of AD 2000. This figure stands approximately 140mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC materials, capturing Hao in his characteristic outfit with his signature long hair and confident expression.
