SEGA presents the Tsugumori from the sci-fi anime and manga series Knights of Sidonia (Sidonia no Kishi) as part of their PM Figure line. This figure depicts the legendary Garde mecha unit in striking detail, capturing the mechanical design that plays a central role in the series' intense space battles. The Tsugumori is a Type-17 Garde unit produced by Toha Heavy Industries during the 4th Gauna Defense War. Originally piloted by ace pilot Hiroki Saitou, it became a legendary symbol after single-handedly defeating two Gauna that had boarded the seed ship Sidonia, saving the remaining population from near-total annihilation. After the war, the Tsugumori was preserved as a monument at the SDF Academy for over a century. When Nagate Tanikaze emerged as Hiroki's successor, Captain Kobayashi reinstated the unit for combat. Unlike the newer, more automated Type-18 units, the Tsugumori relies heavily on manual control, allowing skilled pilots to achieve superior combat performance through finer precision. The figure stands approximately 210mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC materials.
