Gantaku presents Tachibana Ukyo from Shin Samurai Spirits: Haohmaru Jigokuhen as a 1/8 scale figure. Sculpted by James W. Cain and WMM, this figure stands approximately 165mm tall and is crafted from polystone and polyurethane materials. Tachibana Ukyo is an expert iaijutsu swordsman originally based on the historical figure Sasaki Kojirō, the famous rival of Miyamoto Musashi. In the first Samurai Shodown game, Ukyo served as Haohmaru's rival, though this dynamic shifted with the introduction of Genjuro in Samurai Shodown II. Despite his formidable combat skills, Ukyo's body is stricken with tuberculosis, adding a layer of tragedy to his character. Though pursued by multiple women, his heart belongs solely to Kei Odagiri, his lone confidante. His design also drew inspiration from Goemon Ishikawa the 13th from the Lupin III series. This 1/8 scale figure by Gantaku captures Ukyo in detailed polystone and polyurethane construction. The sculpting was handled by James W. Cain and WMM, resulting in a figure that stands 165mm tall and showcases the character's distinctive samurai aesthetic.
