Kaiyodo, in collaboration with Kisoengai, produced this Evangelion Nendo-ka Keikaku sofubi figure of EVA-01 from Shin Seiki Evangelion in the Phosphorescent version. The figure stands approximately 150mm tall. EVA-01, also known as Evangelion Unit-01 or Test Type, is the iconic mecha from Neon Genesis Evangelion, piloted by the reluctant protagonist Shinji Ikari. The series follows Shinji and other young pilots as they are recruited by the secretive organization NERV to combat mysterious beings known as Angels using giant bio-mechanical Evangelion units. EVA-01 is distinctive for its unpredictable behavior and mysterious connection to Shinji's deceased mother, often going berserk in critical moments. The Phosphorescent version features a glow-in-the-dark finish that enhances the figure's display presence. As part of the Evangelion Nendo-ka Keikaku line by Kaiyodo, this sofubi figure combines the soft vinyl medium with a chibi-inspired aesthetic unique to the series.
