Kaiyodo, in collaboration with Kisoengai, presents EVA-01 from Shin Seiki Evangelion as part of the Evangelion Nendo-ka Keikaku sofubi figure line, featuring the distinctive artistic interpretation of Dehara Yukinori. Evangelion Unit-01 is the iconic mecha piloted by Shinji Ikari in the landmark anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Unlike other Evangelion units, EVA-01 is powered by the soul of Shinji's mother, Yui Ikari, giving it a unique berserker tendency that manifests in moments of extreme danger. The unit's purple and green color scheme and its terrifying, almost organic design have made it one of the most recognizable mecha in anime history. The series explores psychological trauma, existential dread, and the blurred line between human and machine. This sofubi figure stands approximately 150mm tall and was released as a Wonder Festival 2021 Autumn Online exclusive, originally available through a lottery system limited to residents of Japan.
