Kaiyodo, in collaboration with Kisoengai, presents a unique Sofubi figure of Ikari Shinji from Shin Seiki Evangelion as part of the Evangelion Nendo-ka Keikaku line. This particular release features the distinctive artistic interpretation of Dehara Yukinori, offering a fresh take on the iconic protagonist. Ikari Shinji is the reluctant pilot of Evangelion Unit-01 in the landmark mecha series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Summoned by his estranged father Gendo to fight mysterious beings known as Angels, Shinji struggles with profound loneliness, self-doubt, and the overwhelming pressure of piloting a giant biomechanical weapon. His journey explores themes of identity, connection, and the human condition, making him one of anime's most complex and debated characters. The Dehara Yukinori version brings an artisanal, stylized approach to Shinji's likeness through the soft vinyl medium. Standing approximately 120mm tall, this sofubi figure was produced through a lottery system open to residents of Japan.
