Remilia Scarlet is the vampire mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and one of the most iconic characters in the Touhou Project, the beloved doujin game series created by ZUN. As a centuries-old vampire with the ability to manipulate fate, Remilia is known as the Scarlet Devil, a title earned during the events of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, the sixth Touhou game. Despite her fearsome power and aristocratic demeanor, she possesses a surprisingly childlike appearance and personality, often staging elaborate incidents out of boredom. Her character embodies the gothic aesthetic central to much of Touhou's appeal, with bat wings, a parasol to shield herself from sunlight, and a commanding presence over her mansion's residents.
