Lum is an Oni alien princess who becomes engaged to the unlucky and lecherous high school student Ataru Moroboshi after he accidentally proposes to her during an alien invasion of Earth. Created by Rumiko Takahashi, Urusei Yatsura is a landmark romantic comedy series from the 1980s that blends science fiction, supernatural elements, and slapstick humor. Lum is known for her iconic tiger-striped bikini outfit, her ability to fly, and her electric shocks, as well as her devoted if volatile personality. She affectionately calls Ataru "Darling" and is fiercely loyal despite his constant attempts to pursue other women.
