Kotonoha Aoi and her twin sister Akane are Japanese VOICEROID+ voicebanks developed by AH-Software in collaboration with AI, Inc. Released on April 25, 2014, they are the only dual characters in the VOICEROID product series. The name Kotonoha is derived from koto (a 13-string Japanese zither) and ha (leaf or fragment), symbolizing that the twins are two fragments that complete a whole. Aoi's name refers to a hollyhock flower and also shares its reading with the Japanese word for blue, reflecting her color theme. Her voice is provided by Yui Sakakibara. The twins have since been adapted across multiple platforms including VOICEROID2, Synthesizer V Studio, and A.I.VOICE.
