Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra is the final installment in the Xenosaga trilogy, developed by Monolith Soft and published by Bandai Namco for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. The title references Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophical novel. KOS-MOS is a central character throughout the series, an advanced battle android created by the Vector Industries corporation who possesses mysterious self-awareness and emotional depth beyond her programming. Her relationship with series protagonist Shion Uzuki forms an emotional core of the narrative, and her combat capabilities make her one of the most powerful entities in the Xenosaga universe.
